For boutique inns & B&Bs
Hiya gives your guests a night desk without you staffing one, answers the questions you’ve answered a thousand times, and does it all in your words, from your property guide. You’re free for the conversations worth having.
Built by hand in North Carolina, where we’re placing the first evaluation units now. No cost, no commitment.
The room concierge
A solid maple shadow box with mitered corners, wrapped around a 64 × 64 LED matrix behind black acrylic. 7.9″ × 7.9″ × 3″ (200 × 200 × 77 mm): small enough for a nightstand, warm enough for the mantel.
Every frame is cut, sanded, and varnished one at a time in North Carolina, finished in clear semi-gloss so the grain does the talking. No two are quite alike.
The only control on the whole box is a stainless button set flush into the top: hold it to ask. Nothing to pair, nothing to charge, nothing else to learn.
Your 24/7 front desk
A guest holds the button and asks out loud. No app, no account, no wake word listening in the room — and the answer is yours, from the guide you wrote once.
A guest holds the button on top of the box, asks out loud, “when’s breakfast?” or “where’s the best coffee?”, and lets go. A moment later the box answers, spoken aloud and scrolling across the screen.
It answers only from the house guide you upload or add in your host portal, so it says what you would say. Anything you haven’t covered, it refers to you instead of guessing: no made-up answers about your property.
The microphone is wired to the button: it listens only while the button is physically held. No wake word, no always-on listening, no recordings kept.
The pocket concierge: included with Room Concierge
During each stay the box shows a QR code. One scan opens that stay’s own page in the guest’s browser: the same concierge, out in town or in line for coffee. Ask anything, tap to copy the wifi, check the checkout time, see your notes and what’s on around town today.
No app, no account, no sign-in. It’s a private link minted just for that stay, and it retires itself at checkout.
Questions go to the concierge, not to you. Every reply comes automatically from the same house guide the box speaks from, and it’s labeled as automated: guests always know it’s Hiya they’re talking to, not their host. Same handling, too: what’s asked during a stay is saved with the booking so you can fix anything the guide got wrong.
We connect directly to ThinkReservations, room by room, so each box knows which room it’s in and who’s arriving. Lodgify, OwnerRez and Hostaway connect too, and anything else works from a calendar link or typed in by hand. Tell us what runs your bookings and we’ll tell you straight whether it connects yet.
Custom wood frame options for inns and small hotels
Soft maple is our standard — it’s the box in every photo on this page. For inns we also build the same mitered frame in tiger maple, red oak, hickory, cherry, and walnut.
Custom wood selection is available when you order three or more boxes. Every frame is still cut, mitered, and finished by hand in Durham, whatever the species.
The North Carolina demo program
If your inn is in North Carolina
We build every box by hand in Durham, and we’re placing a small number of pre-production evaluation units with nearby inns and B&Bs. We set one up in one of your guest rooms, connected to your bookings so it greets each guest by name, you live with it for a while, and your real guests tell both of us whether it earns its spot. No cost, no commitment. Honest feedback is the fee.
Anywhere else
Tell us about your property. The inn edition is being shaped now with the demo properties, and we’ll keep you posted as it opens up. Your answers about size and software directly steer what we build.
Got it, thank you. A real person will follow up within a day or two.
